FIND VALUE IN EVERYTHING...

...BECAUSE EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON

     This may sound more like a love story than a business bio.  I have heard people say things my entire life like, "it's not the best job in the world, but it pays the bills" or "thank god it's Friday".  Thankfully, that just isn't the case for me.  I feel like i have the best job in the world and the only reason that i am thankful for Friday is because that means that i still have Saturday and Sunday  to make Sharp Stuff!

     I started shoeing horses nearly 25 years ago and my love of blacksmithing and making things with my hands has never stopped growing since.  One day I realized that we, as farriers, were throwing our files away every week, and that they just wind up in a landfill somewhere because steel is unfortunately not cost effective(or easy) to recycle.  So I decided to start upcycling my files and turning them into useful tools and knives.  It's a small part, but I am happy knowing that there are a few less files in the landfill.

     This is where the love story starts.  From exotic handle material to pattern welded steel, I am winding my way thru the world of knifemaking, gathering knowledge, meeting some extraordinary craftsman, and making friends with so many people that have the same passion as I do.  This is truly an incredible industry and I can't thank you all enough for letting me be a part of it.
